A Painting Workshop & Creative Retreat
October 10th to 16th, 2026 | Yorkshire, England
An Intimate & Immersive Experience; perfect for you if you’re craving…
• Uninterrupted creative time, daily painting & drawing classes, and personalized, practical artistic guidance
• Beautiful environments that spark inspiration (rolling green hills, castles, cobblestones, probably a Victorian cemetery or two!)
• Meaningful connection with other artists & a sense of community
• An excuse to get dressed up and live your Wuthering Heights fantasy
The Masterpiece is not just about learning painting techniques. It’s about rediscovering curiosity, letting go of pressure, and the magic that happens when you give yourself permission to slow down and make art simply because you love it.
We will have daily art classes designed to help you:
• Let go of perfectionism and paint more intuitively
• Strengthen foundational art skills without pressure or overwhelm
• Develop your personal artistic style
• Create cohesive colour palettes & understand colour mixing
• Build confidence in sharing your work

Meet your teacher; Jodi Tellier
Hello! I’m Jodi. I am a multidisciplinary artist, educator, Mom/Dog Mom, and Red Wine Enthusiast with a passion for drawing & painting. My creative business is built around live event painting, calligraphy, and teaching. I’ve worked with clients such as Tiffany & Co., Guerlain, Diptyque, Holt Renfrew, and Dior, and have taught over 500 students everything from drawing, to painting, to creative business practices.
I love what I do, but balancing motherhood and entrepreneurship is a LOT, and in September of 2025, I was deeply burnt out and needed a major creative reset. I took myself on a solo trip to Yorkshire to take a painting class, and it was nothing short of life changing. This retreat exists because of that experience. My intention is to give you that same gift: space, inspiration, and the freedom to create with confidence and joy.
My goal is to help you (re)discover art as a way to care for and express yourself, and to give you the tools you need to create the kind of art you’ve always wanted to make. I created this retreat because I know firsthand how transformative an experience like this can be, and I’m so thrilled to be taking you along on this journey with me. My hope is that you will leave this week feeling inspired, creatively energized, and with memories that will fuel a lifelong artistic practice.
Frequently Asked Questions
+ Who is this retreat for?
This retreat is for artists at any stage — whether you’re just beginning or have been creating for years — who want focused time, inspiring surroundings, and thoughtful guidance.
+ When is the retreat?
Attendees will arrive on Saturday, October 10th, 2026 and we will all depart on the morning of Friday, October 16th, 2026.
+ Where is the retreat taking place?
In Yorkshire, England! We will be staying all together at a large retreat house (basically a mini castle!) just outside of Skipton, in the heart of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. The nearest airport is either Leeds or Manchester, but it's also entirely possible to fly into London and take the train from there. Our accommodations are about a 10 minute walk from a train station. Don't hesitate to reach out if you need help with the logistics of getting to the retreat!
+ What medium will we be working in?
For this retreat, we will be working primarily with acrylic paint, as well as working in a sketchbook with pencils. (I'm also experienced with watercolour and oil paint, so the differences between these three types of paint will likely be a topic of discussion!)
+ Do I need prior life drawing experience for the live model session?
Not at all! The live model session is designed to be welcoming, accessible, and inspiring, especially for first-timers.
+ How many participants will there be?
This is an intimate retreat capped at ten attendees so that everyone receives personal attention and meaningful connection. As of March 1st, the retreat is half full
+ Will accommodations be private or shared?
There are enough rooms for 6 or 7 attendees to have a private room, and there are two shared rooms (one can accommodate 2 attendees, and one can accommodate 3). Almost all rooms have their own bathrooms as well. Rooms will be assigned on a first come, first served basis.

The investment is $5195 CAD (roughly ~3800 USD)
+ What is included in the price?
The price of the retreat includes: 6 Nights Accommodation in a beautiful 14th century castle set on a fifteen-acre estate of stunning Yorkshire countryside, All meals (a mix of catered meals at the retreat and a few special dinners out in the area), All art supplies & art instruction, All sightseeing activities & transportation to and from retreat activities. Not included: Airfare, transportation between the airport and the retreat venue, and drinks when dining out (we will have wine & other drinks at the retreat house!).
